Roughly 90% of cases of cholecystitis are caused by gallstones blocking the flow of bile in the biliary tree leading to inflammation of the gallbladder (acute calculous cholecystitis). Acute calculous cholecystitis is treated only under the doctor’s supervision. If you have chronic holecystitis, traditional medicine uses different medicinal plants, among which calisaya and dandelion are the most effective.
For the normal secretion of bile you can use an infusion from dandelion roots and calisaya leaves (Callisia Fragrans) . Take 2 tea spoonfuls of the finely cut roots and leaves and pour over 2 cups of boiling water; leave for 3 hours. Take one tea spoonful of the infusion 4 times a day 30 minutes before meals if you have sharp pains.
You can use calisaya oil made with olive oil. Another remedy for the gallstone disease is half a glass of juice from black radish and one tea spoonful of calisaya juice. Take 4 table spoonfuls once a day for3 months.
Take a full table spoonful of dry birch leaves and pour over a cup of boiling water. Boil for20 minutes. Wrap the pot and leave it in a warm place for 1 hour. Filter the decoction and add 5 table spoonfuls of calisaya juice. In the morning and in the evening drink 1 cup of the remedy half an hour before meals. You should take it for a long time so that there is a positive effect.
It is very good to drink half or a full glass of sauerkraut juice mixed with 2 table spoonfuls of calisaya juice. Take it 3 times a day before meals for 45 or 60 days.
Grind in a coffee grinder 1 cup of linseed and mix it with 3 cups of raw (unpasteurised) milk and boil until 1 cup of the liquid is left. Add 4 table spoonfuls of calisaya juice. Filter while hot and drink on empty stomach 1 cup for 5 days. Make a ten-day break and repeat the procedure. During the treatment do not eat spicy foods. You may feel pain in the area of the liver but it will pass soon, so be patient.
Half an hour before meals take equal parts of olive oil and calisaya juice. Begin with half a tea spoonful and gradually increase the dose to half a tea cup. The treatment usually continues for 2-3 weeks. This remedy helps excrete stones from the gallbladder and saves you from operation.
Prepare a herbal mixture from 10 g of field horsetail (Equisetum arvense), 10 g of kidney tea (this is a recipe for tea made by the Bulgarian professor Lambrev. It is a mixture of dry cut leaves of white birch 19%, bearberry (Arctastophylos uva-ursi) 19%, mallow (Malva sylvestris) 7% and field horsetail shoots 10%, crumbled blossoms and leaves of hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna) 10%, cut roots of restharrow (Radix ononidis) 7%, valerian 7%, elecampane (Inula helenium) 6%, Alpine dock (Rumex alpinus) 3%, whole linseed 6%, crumbled blossoms and leaves of goldenrod (Solidago virga aurea) 3% and yarrow (Achillea millefolium) 3%), 10 g of knotgrass (Poligonum aviculare), and 10 g of nettle. Pour 500 ml of boiling water over 2 table spoonfuls of the mixture. Wrap the pot and leave in a warm place for about 5-6 hours. Filter and add 3 table spoonfuls of calisaya juice. Take half a warm cup of the infusion 3 times a day before meals.
Mix 1 part of knotgrass, 1 part of corn straw, 1 part of bean pods, 1 part of herniary (Herniaria grabra), and 1 part of mullein (Verbascum densiflorum). Pour 1 cup of boiling water over 1 table spoonful of the mixture. Wrap the pot and leave in a warm place for 1 hour. Filter and add 6 table spoonfuls of calisaya juice. Drink all the quantity during the day.
Prepare a herbal mixture from 1 part of calisaya leaves, 2 parts of immortelle (Helichrysum arenarium), 1 part of common fumitory (Menyanthes trifoliate), and 1 part of camomile blossom. Pour 1 cup of boiling water over 1 table spoonful of the mixture and boil on water bath for 10-15 minutes. Leave for 30-40 minutes and filter. Take 1 table spoonful of the decoction 4 times a day 20 minutes before meals.
Prepare a herbal mixture from 1 part of calisaya leaves, 1 part of tansy blossoms (Tanacetum vulgare), 1 part of dandelion roots, and 1 part of cumin seeds. Pour a cup of boiling water over 1 table spoonful of the mixture, boil on water bath for 30 minutes, leave for 15 minutes and filter. Take 1 table spoonful of the decoction 20 minutes before meals.
Mix one tea spoonful of immortelle blossom, one tea spoonful of mint leaves, and half a leaf of calisaya. Pour 2.5 cups of boiling water over the herbs and leave for 1 hour. Filter the infusion and drink a quarter of a cup 3 times a day 40 minutes before meals if you have an inflammation of the gallbladder. The procedure lasts for 10 days.
Mix 2 tea spoonfuls of yarrow (Achillea millefolium) and one tea spoonful of thyme blossom. Pour over 1.5 cups of boiling water and brew for 20 – 30 minutes. Filter and add one tea spoonful of calisaya juice. Drink a quarter of a cup once a day, better in the evening, half an hour before meals if you have a gallstone disease.
