Home Treatment For Varicose Veins
Varicose veins are veins that have become enlarged and twisted. The term commonly refers to the veins on the legs, although varicose veins can occur elsewhere. If you lead a healthy life and drink remedies made from calisaya, you can avoid operation.
In order to increase stamina and reduce the discomfort in the varicose veins you should massage them twice a day with the following mixture: 1 table spoonful of camomile liquid extract and 1 tea spoonful of calisaya infusion.
If you have sharp pains put a compress on the varicose veins for 20 minutes made with 2 tea spoonfuls of calendula alcohol infusion (Calendula officinalis) and one tea spoonful of calisaya alcohol infusion. Dilute them in a glass of cold water. Dip gauze folded in four in that mixture and put the compress on the tender spot.
If you have pains in the legs, take a bath with willow bark decoction and calisaya leaves. Prepare the decoction with 2 table spoonfuls of the willow bark torn in small pieces, pour over 2 cups of boiling water and boil for 15 minutes; then add a finely cut calisaya leaf and boil the mixture for 5 more minutes. Leave the decoction for 40 minutes, filter and pour it in the water of the tub. You should stay in the tub for 20 minutes. After the bath put elastic bandages on your legs.
For internal application if you have varicose veins, use calisaya alcohol infusion. Take one tea spoonful 3 times a day 1 hour before meals for 7 days. Make a seven-day break and repeat the procedure.
For prophylaxis of veins make a restorative massage with mint oil (3 drops) and calisaya oil (12 drops). Put some of this mixture on your palms and stroke your legs from down up. Make the massage 1-2 times a week.
