Basket Plant (Callisia fragrans) Infusion

Basket Plant Infusion

The basket plant water infusion is used for treatment of pancreatitis, diabetes, liver and gastro-intestinal diseases, as well as for cleansing of the organism. To prepare the infusion you need basket plants not smaller than 20 cm.

Recipe 1

 Take one whole basket plant leaf (about 20 cm long), place it into a ceramic or glass vessel and pour 1 l of boiling water (you can also use a finely chopped leaf). Let steep for 24 hours. Then strain the liquid, pour it into a dark-glass bottle and store it in the fridge. Drink the infusion warm, taking 50 ml, 10-40 minutes before meals, 3 times a day.

 The recipe is suitable for diabetes, pancreatitis, gastro-intestinal conditions, as well as for overall cleansing of the body.

 Recipe 2

 Take one basket plant leaf (20 cm long), chop it finely and place it into a thermos bottle. Pour 1 l of boiling water and steep for 5-6 hours. Strain the liquid and pour it into a dark-glass bottle. Store it in the fridge.

 Recipe 3

 Chop finely 10-15 basket plant trailing stem chunks, place them in a thermos bottle and pour 1 l of boiling water over them. Allow to steep for 5-7 hours, then strain and after the infusion cools down, pour it into a ceramic or glass vessel. Store it in a dark and cool place.
